Waves on Waves is an eclectic and delightfully engaging collection of 69 poems, divided into five sections according to the different types of brainwaves. Part lyric and part narrative, this poetry is written with compassion and vulnerability, bidding us to unite the polarities of fear vs love and the individual vs the collective. Simkin explores a broad range of themes, from our divorce from nature to impending societal collapse, Israel, exotic states of consciousness and the mysterious history of man.
