Ding. Ding. Ding. The sound of the bell echoes in Drake "Roky" Rokmonov's head. For him it signals more than just the fight to come, more than the inevitable outcome, more than the unwanted accolades. The bell is his prison and the ring is his cell. Once a proud General in command of legions of vampire warriors, there was a time when he fought for the honor of his kind, when he fought for a cause and he led others willingly onto the battlefield. But that was in a different world in a different age, an age before the rule of men. In this world, Drake fights for the amusement of the masses at the mercy of the Coven and its matriarch, Rebecca Lynn. He is not alone. Other monsters, all forced out of the shadows when their secret was revealed, also perform in the ring for the insatiable crowd. This group, the MLA, believes that it is time for the monsters to rise up. Against his will, Drake finds himself swept up into the plans of the MLA, stripped of his title, and recklessly, irrevocably in love with a girl who holds a secret that will rip apart the fabric of his very existence.
