Comparison of variation iteration method with homotopy perturbation method for the solution of sixth order integro differential equations. In this study, HPM and VIM are applied to solve both nonlinear and linear integro differential equations of sixth order. The approximate analytical results of the sixth order integro differential equations have been obtained in term of series with easily computable components. The analysis is made by numerical examples which show reliability and capability of the methods. The results also show that HPM and VIM are of high exactness, more expedient and effective for solving integro differential equations.
