Seren first thought that if she was to lose anyone, it would be her best friend Ally. She is soon forced to realise how wrong she was, when Daniel - the love of her teenage years, dies unexpectedly in a car crash. As Seren struggles to move on, her grief turns into guilt and isolation. As her imagination begins to take over, Seren becomes convinced that Daniel never actually left. Haunted by Daniel's memories, Seren meets Nathan, a friend of her brother's. Like Seren, Nathan is facing his own demons. His own love Clarissa died almost two years ago, in an accident that Nathan was partly responsible for. Nathan misses Rissa, but, unlike Seren, has accepted and come to terms with the events that changed his life. Nathan is the only person that fully understands Seren, and the internal conflict she feels. When Seren is with Nathan, she forgets her guilt, for a few blissful moments, only to feel guiltier when she remembers. In desperation, she turns into her own mind, and communicates with Daniel's ghost. Her own imagination and twisted sense of logic merges with reality, until she no longer knows what's right or wrong.
