Aprašymas
The unpredicted growth as well as the growing importance of available distributed systems at geographically distributed locations has made efficient load balancing algorithm a necessity for higher performance reasons. The emergence of load balancing algorithm in distributed systems, which have the capability to connect thousands of geographically distributed computers worldwide, has opened a world of opportunities for such distributed systems. This provides a strong motivation for load balancing algorithm which supports fast migration of process and increases the system performance. However, several challenging issues need to be addressed for the load balancing algorithm to work efficiently in practice. In particular, efficient mechanisms for calculating CPU utilization & Memory utilization every few seconds and for migrating process need to be in place. This project focuses on algorithm for distributed operating system via calculating CPU utilization, Memory utilization and migrating process to prevent degradation in system performance owing to severe load imbalance among the nodes.
