Aprašymas
Gray Matter is a techno-horror thriller about perfection, performance, and the curse of viral identity in the age of engineered personas.
James Vale is the internet's flawless king-an influencer whose brand is obsession, whose face is everywhere, and whose grip on relevance is iron-tight. But when an anonymous painting is delivered to his penthouse-an eerily flawless portrait of himself-the illusion begins to crack. His online persona starts bleeding into the real world. People begin seeing a decayed version of him on the streets. Videos he never recorded go viral. And the face looking back from the mirror isn't quite his anymore.
What starts as a PR anomaly escalates into a digital contagion as James becomes the unwilling epicenter of a curse stretching back to 19th-century occult painter Elias Vorne, who discovered a method to trap souls in canvas. Now, with LA unraveling into a nightmare of GrayJames doppelgangers, James must race against an emerging entity known only as The Keeper to sever the link between his soul and the corrupted network of his own image-before the final broadcast renders him obsolete.
A vicious collision between psychological horror, cyberpunk aesthetics, and folklore horror, Gray Matter is Black Mirror meets The Ring-where your brand becomes your haunting.
