The main focus of this book is to highlight the importance of note-taking in consecutive interpretation and provide practical training approaches. Although note-taking is indispensable to consecutive interpreters, it should be carried out with as little mental energy as possible. Component training and process-oriented approach have been proved to be very effective in various training programs for complex tasks and should also be applied to the training in consecutive note-taking. Note-taking skills should be internalized to bring the performance of interpreters to a higher level.
