Molly and Fiona finally moved into their own home, but there was a procession of boyfriends, beatings, hunger and neglect. The first time Molly ended up in hospital after a beating, she met Sergeant Thompson, who made it his mission to help Nan keep Molly safe. She was a delightful child who had a colourful vocabulary and a shocking temper. Nan died just before Molly's fourteenth birthday, so Sergeant Thompson and his wife decide to foster Molly and eventually adopt her. Molly's newfound happiness is shattered when her new mum dies, but she eventually comes to terms with her life and meets a young man who truly loves her. Happily ever afters are not always possible, but in Another Rule Broken, there is hope even when things seem their bleakest.
